Walker Lane ASTER 90 meter Mosaic
The Walker Lane, Nevada Aster compilation is a mosaic of 75 ASTER images. The SWIR and TIR bands were mosaiced on a 90 meter base.
The images were individually tied to the GeoCover Ortho Landsat TM mosaic of Southern Nevada (NASA/ Earthsat Corp.) which has an RMS
positional error of about 50m.
The SWIR/THERMAL images map alteration "hot spots" throughout the Walker Lane.

- Bands: ASTER SWIR (Bands 4-9) and TIR (Bands 10-14)
- Pixel Format: SWIR floating point apparent reflectance. TIR floating point "radiance".
- Pixel Size: 90 meters (SWIR and TIR)
- Positional Accuracy: RMS 90m with local errors up to ~200m
- Projection: UTM Zone 11 NAD27
- Radiometric Matching: Linear regression overlap statistics
- Mineral Mapping: Alunite, Kaolinite, Illite analysis through SCM. Silica analysis through band math (10, 11, 12 curvature analysis).
- Data Format: GeoTIFF w/ Arc World File.
